Bone Claws
Commented By: pcdsim on 2009-02-15 23:52:08
His claws were his own bones before they added adamantium to it.
Confusing

WTF I thought he never had claws and that they were implanted on him? FOX is fucking shit up again huh?
Roids
Commented By: Logan Kills on 2009-02-16 00:07:41
Yo Mayimbe did Hugh take Roids? He looks fucking bulk on that last shot. And it seems that Logan is the other kid and not the kid in the red shirt.
bone claws

That was possibly one of the worst trailers I've seen out of all the trailers that have been released starting from mid 08 to the early and current 09 trailers. That child actor couldn't act if his life depended on it. Seriously this kids acting range is as good as Paris Hilton's scholastic knowledge. If I didn't know this film was called X-Men Origins: Wolverine I'd think its some Underworld t.v series spin off. The quality of the overall film was seriously that bad. Ugh so much for the Magneto film………….
Staying true to the comics... at least so far!

Know what, this did not suck, I think this is a lot better than some of the trailers that have come out. Actually I don't think of this as a trailer but more of a clip to show (MAYBE!!) they are taking the material that was there to begin with seriously and making that law, instead of some "script" written by some hack. Look you can't judge a movie by some kid's 2 second performance and call it a day. I've read the comics, collected them and drawn them and to be honest I think this will thuthfully come close to upholding the character's origin at least as close as we are going to get. Wolverine's past has been a quilt of subplots that are even now being rewritten. So in closing... just think of what crap Marvel has created in the past(and very recent past) but also recognize how far it has come. I think it has come Loooong ways from the Captain America Movie from the 90's so please quit the bitchin' and wait for this to fully evolve you might be surprised. Oh and no I don't work for Fox, but I do think those morons might finally be doing something right for a change(or getting close anyway!)

Wow a lot of people are idiots. They think they know how Wolverine was originally. He had BONE CLAWS before people. If you guys dont know dont say sh*t, you sound stupid even before finishing your comment.
this is crap
Commented By: Dylan on 2009-02-16 08:06:26
read the original weapon X comics, wolverine's claws were a buildup of adamantium that the scientists did not plan or expect, though they were pleased with the results...logan was just a mutant with regenerative powers that could survive the adamantium fusing process...furthermore, he didn't volunteer, they kicked the crap out of him and took him prisoner...this movie is going to SUUUUUUCK, i am not going to watch it....
Bone claws

Wolverine Origins by Paul Jenkins and Andy Kubert (released in 2001/2002) explains Wolverines history and shows Logan as a kid, revealing things like his childhood, his real name and showing that he had bone claws when he was a young kid. Prior to that X-men in #25 and Wolverine #75 (both released in the early-mid 90's) both showed Wolverine with bone claws after Magneto rips all the adamantium out of Wolverine's body.
who didn\'t read \"Origin\"?
Commented By: oldnoakes on 2009-02-16 08:40:34
Judging from these: "bone claw? wtf?" remarks, a lot of people. I'm not saying "Origin" was a masterpiece but it did add some depth to Wolverine (James Howlett). Seems like some people haven't picked up a comic book in 10+ years. I don't like this buddy-buddy crap with young logan/sabertooth that seems to apparent in the trailer however. They were ALWAYS rivals and never friends. That stuff will definitely be bull SH@#. Also, I don't think there going to do the sequences from "Origins" properly. The big surprise is that "Dog" is who you think wolverine becomes, and he looks like a young version of him,. Instead it is the frail character James that becomes wolverine. I think many characters like Gambit were just thrown in there, following the pattern of X-men 3, which is somewhat troubling. But, hopefully this movie won't be total crap it actually looks exciting.
what?

STFU

Christ if you haven't read the comics from the beginning to even know he had bone claws keep your mouth shut and stop blaming FOX for doing it right. Fucking idiots.

I hope you don't watch this movie and stop writing on these boards as if you know what you're talking about. How can you judge acting of a kid in 2 seconds. If you know Wolverine, you know he had bone claws from the outset. So do your research and shut your mouth.
Promising
Commented By: Kevin on 2009-02-16 10:59:12
The commercial is overblown. But the movie could be very good. As for that buddy/buddy thing with Sabretooth, that's a new angle that might work really well.

on 2009-02-16 12:48:42
Ok Sabertooth Logan were always enemies, but that has been established across decades of comic series. This is a 2 hour flick that requires an understandable rivalry to be constructed quickly, changes such as this are neccessary for it to make sense in the medium it's being narrated.
who is right???
Commented By: prowl on 2009-02-16 13:26:42
In a way, you are all right, the marvel writers made you believe that the claws where an implante by the weapon-X project Only after wolverine lost the animantium Did they decide to let the readers that he did have bone claws. So, a year or 2 later, they bring out the wolverine origins comic to explain it all. And yes, in origins it dose show a teen logon with bone claws.
Stupid
Commented By: anon on 2009-02-16 13:59:32
damn, people are freaking stupid. The adamantium covered his bones. Didn't ANY of you watch the first two movies of them explaining that? Research on comics and facts before making ignorant comments.
R rating??
Commented By: Superimposed on 2009-02-16 15:44:44
Will this movie be rated R or can any punk kid with his pants halfway down his ass, and his head completely up it go watch? I applaud Watchmen with the R rating...alot of the geeks that read comics also watch porno and violent films...shit, i thought that WAS the inspiration for comics!!!
It\'s too bad...
Commented By: DisappointedAlready on 2009-02-16 21:52:08
Here we have a movie where a child wolverine presumably impales his own father, yet the same person as an adult lacks the rage to rip out someone's throat with his teeth....This movie deserves to be bloody and savage, and I guarentee it will be anything but...Marvel wants to make $$$$ not a film, we are being robbed of a quality movie because 'Origins' needs to sell tickets, not mean something. Oh, and Wolverine's past is SUPPOSED to be unknown and mysterious... good movies have a thing called "subtlety"!!
Retard below me
Commented By: HM on 2009-02-16 22:42:00
Dumba$$, he's impaling Sabretooth, not his father.
Are you serious?
Commented By: The Governator on 2009-02-16 22:53:06
That looks terrible. But hey, I guess we need bad movies to make the good ones seem better, right?
Duh
Commented By: C on 2009-02-17 12:38:20
He's not impaling his father OR Sabertooth, he's impaling the man who killed the man he thought was his father. And since Marvel (the company in charge of the original Wolverine story) decided to "reveal" his past, then who better to trust it with. It's *their* story.
