Some guy who was an extra on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen had this to say on an automotive forum board (you have to register to read it):
I had to chase a bunch of villagers out of the area because the Decepticons were attacking, then had to protect Optimus Prime's body. There were a shitload of us out there.
The food and catering was awesome. A lot of downtime. Just like a deployment.
I did an interview for the DVD. We will see if that is on it too. The asked me a bunch of questions about the military. The autobots are behind me on top of a sand dune. I did a GM plug. They liked that.
Micheal Bay loves the military. I got to speak with him very briefly. He gets so angry on set at the actors but doesn't dare yell or demean the military. It was a trip. He said something to me like do you want a job as a DA (Directors Assistant), I said hell yeah. He was getting pissed at his DA. His DA was like trust me you dont want this job.
I have two closeup shots if they do decide to put them in the movie. One was walking with the camera on the tracks going along with me but at a slower pace. The camera was right on the side of my face following me but at a slower rate. There were two others behind me. The other close up was while I was defending from a corner of a building on one knee. The boom camera went from the ground to over head of us all. I was up front in the scene. The camera came up to my face then began to ascend over the area. It was pretty cool.
Another scene was Optimus getting dropped off by a chinook. I had to run up to the area then stop as Optimus was getting dropped.
Another was with Josh and Tyrese when they argue with The President on the flightline. I am in the background.
As much time as I spent filming (9-10 hours a day for 4 days) I hope I am seen at least once. Hell I'll be happy to be on teh DVD.
Now, there's something you should know, he changed the word to "body" after initially writing Optimus Prime's 'corpse'. So does Optimus die in the movie? The extra goes on to explain further as to why he changed it to "body":
Don't know if he stays dead, if it is in the begining or the end of the movie. They were secretive.
They never refered to him as being dead. They always said his body. So there no spoiler.
He then posts a shitload of behind the scenes photos. I'm only going to post the interesting ones though. Doubt if you guys need to see pictures of a camel. You can alway click the link at the top to register and check them all out yourself.
Get ready, because there's a lot of pics of Megan, Bumblebee, Optimus and others.

He can come hang out with me and my Dad if he luckily loses his job. I draw a pretty hefty unemployment check and I would have no problem putting a 15 year old car or two on my credit card to help a brother out. The only thing I ask is that he adhere to the house dress code...cargo shorts and Teva's.

is it just me or does the bumblebee robot look simplified? i hope so... the transformations and the robots in the last movie were just too "noisy"... couldn't tell wtf anything was. still don't like the design of their faces though... bumble bee looks like he has a freakin ball gag for cryin' out loud.

They don\'t look sentient

The thing I didn't and still don't like about the first movie was how artificial the autobots and decepticons look. In the cartoon, they look and behave like humans with metallic bodies. They look sentient; they look alive!
In the movie, they look like movie props with speakers. They don't feel alive. They lack the personality of the original cartoon animation.
Starscream for example was known for his sarcasm. In most of the bots in the movies, one can barely make out their face, much less their expression. Hence a lack of personality.
I also dislike the squinty bulb-like eyes. All robots in the cartoon had eyes that were more like led-light panels. You cannot quite see the pupil etc. That was how a transformer looked like. The circular light-bulbs just don't cut it. *crap*

What do people expect of Transformers? It's a movie about 30 foot robots from space that turn into cars and it was based off a cartoon created solely to sell toys. Not every movie has to be life-affirming. Sometimes all you need is lots of explosions and robots kicking seven shades of $#!+ out of each other...good by me.

Whoever thinks that the first transformers suck should be shot. Shia and Megan awesome, I loved the special effect. Some people don't care for bay's slick movie making style, but for Transformers think it works.

I just saw another toy the monster truck. From the start I was saying that Gimlock should be a monster truck. But the jokes on me. not only dose the monster truck look like a wall-E johny5 rip off its call Wheelie …. Now I know my transformers and Wheelie was know where near a monster truck. He was more like a one seater Tango. Not something I would want to see on screen. Anyway nice job to bay and his creative team. They real know how to … you know what at this point I’m not even going to get in to my sarcasm. There’s no point.

To the people that think transformers was the best movie ever, you wouldn’t know a twicks candy bar from a turd. All Bay has to do is put transformers on the rapper and you would scarf it down. It was great for children and people with an IQ of a children. Yay, there was things that go boom and a car chase. WOW!!! The story line went a whole 2 feet. I bet you people love the subplot of the stupid ass chiwawa and his poor foot!! If you like that maybe you should have seen beverly hills chiwawa!!! You could take you little half pound dogs to see it as well, sit them in your lap.

the toys for the most part had shitty robot modes and the toons were all squares! Michael Bay movies have grossed 2.5 billion dollars worldwide. When your resume is that impressive call me otherwise shut the fuck up and go see the movie like everyone else who supposedly thinks it's gonna suck! JACKASS!
