Rumors abound of Angelina Jolie looking into playing Catwoman for the third Batman movie. According to ABC news Australia:
And the news today is that they may well have lined up Angelina Jolie to play Catwoman in the next installment.
Julie Newmar, who played Catwoman in the 1960's Batman TV series, says Angelina is perfect for the role:
"Angelina would own the part...my industry friends tell me she has already made inquiries about the role. I can understand how it would pique her interest. Catwoman is Batman's one true love."

This is an interesting rumor floating around right now. I'm not sure what's more of a rumor though, Angelina wanting to play Catwoman or Julie Newmar still having industry friends. Either way, it's a good fit for Angelina. I loved what Michelle Pfeiffer did in the role, and Angelina could pull it off.
Helping this rumor out though, is the website you're currently reading. We do know that as of this writing, they are looking for a female lead character for the third Batman movie. Angelina's supposed inquiry just seems to solidify what we've heard.
Bear this in mind, this is ALL rumor until confirmed. Things change like crazy in Hollywood every day, so what we're told one day, could end up being something entirely different the next. But what we know, right now, is that the powers that be (DC/Warner Brothers) want a strong female lead for the third Batman movie. As friend or foe, it's too early too tell.
There's also the possibility of another stand alone Catwoman movie but after the Halle Berry disaster, odds are that isn't the case. Stay tuned for more info.

Christopher Nolan has ruled out the use of the Penguin and Catwoman in future films.
He said that the Penguin doesn't fit into the realistic world of Batman he has created...
and he wouldn't use Catwoman
because it took an entire movie to
figure out why a man dresses like a bat,
how long would it take to explain why a woman dresses up like a cat?

The Dark Knight was a good movie, it just wasn't a good Batman movie. Seeing where Nolan wants to take the franchise, I'm praising whatever deity you believe in that Catwoman won't be in his next action film. I'd rather he not butcher her into his "realistic" image of what Batman should be.

this sounds like the worst idea ever.
and hopefully the next villains will be the riddler and ras al ghoul's daughter. riddler will be working for GCPD hunting for batman while al ghoul will be looking to revenger her father's death.
and on top of that, imo jolie is a tad overrated when it comes to acting.

I love what Nolan has done with the franchise. But I am skeptical of Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman, etc. Can we please do something Schumacher has not?

Way to use IGN's idea for the Riddler and Talia Al Ghul WeePee. But back on subject. One of the first thing I said after coming out of TDK was "I hope they never use Mr. Freeze, Catwoman, The Penguin, and Robin; and I definitely hope Jolie is never in these movies." God this better just be a horrible rumor.

my God i hope its a rumour too!This film started off by bringing in good up and coming actors for the main roles and using top actors as supporting actors.If they bring in angolina jolie and johnny depp they`ll ruin it.They might aswel ask Tom cruise to be in it.Its not for top profiled actors.Heath did an incredible job and nobody expected too much from him.angelina jolie is a brutal actress

Please do not cast Angelina as the next Catwoman....NO NO NO!!! It would ruin the movie. She does not belong with Christian Bale..Gary Oldman...Aaron Eckhart...Morgan Freeman...Michael Caine...etc etc...
Ugh...I can't stand her. She's not a good actress and she needs to go feed her 8 children instead. Go play another role Angelina...we don't want you as Catwoman. NO THANKS!
I hope Christopher Nolan stays away from Catwoman in the next Batman movie. That is if he still wants to direct it.

but I haven't taken her seriously as an actor since Girl Interrupted. I mean what happened to her? Since Tomb Raider (crappy movie btw), she's just been doing mainstream crap. There has to be a better actress out there that would look great as Catwoman as well.
