Brand New Michael Bay Update. LOL By George 'El Guapo' Roush on October 26, 2008 One thing Michael Bay is, is he's not shy when it comes to staying stupid shit. He's also the most overrated director that exists today, filling his movies with horrible plots, over used camera sweeps, special effects to fill in for the fact that he can't get decent performances out of his actors, and his laughable use of military marching soundtracks to make sure you know SOMETHING IMPORTANT IS HAPPENING. Yes. I think he sucks. And I thought Transformers was one of the worst movies ever made. "Chill out man. It was a fun popcorn movie." No it wasn't. It was two hours of Michael Bay telling me I'm retarded. While I may have hated it, a lot of people loved it and the movie made a ton of money. Michael is now shooting the sequel and decided to bless his minions with an update concerning the Transformers ride Universal Studios is working on. This statement from him is perhaps the most arrogant thing I think I've ever heard him say. I guess anything Transformers related has to be run by him now? Read on: The shooting in the the Middle East is ground breaking - an awesome time had by all the crew. The Transformer Ride at Universal making all the press rounds - not sure yet - they had me in a press release saying I supported it - but Universal has a long way to go in my mind. I don't support it yet - I'm not involved and not sure the story of the ride works, and I know Optimus is not going to just show up to be directed by some new people that have never worked with him. I hate when people bullshit a quote from me that I never said. I'll keep you informed. Maybe the guy making the rides at Universal will direct Transformers 3???? Bay My favorite part is him talking about the story. Like his movies have ever made sense. Know what Michael? I bet the guy would actually do a better job than you if he did direct it. He additionally left out Mark Mancina's music that was signature for the first film. Overlong, hyper violent, and horror movie grossness split audiences further. Throwing away elements that would've made it more like a sequel. Oh yeah, they said it was minus a real story and repetitive within itself! Bay hit on a real gem there, instead of audience nostalgia for elements from the previous movie, he gives you replay like action, in case you forgot all the stuff he did in the first part of the current movie. I guess he learned that while making the mistakes called "Transformers" and "the Island," since I still can't tell you how they ended, and I actually watched those! Compared to "Bad Boys" which tripled it's cost at the domestic box number 2 barely broke even from domestic.
