From the trades comes exciting news for, well, for Bruce Willis:

Bruce Willis will make his directorial debut with the indie psychological drama "Three Stories About Joan."

Willis, who will have a supporting role in the film, has tapped "10,000 BC" star Camilla Belle to play the titular character. Kieran Culkin has also joined the cast.

Screenplay by tyro scribes Christopher Alexander and Sam Applebaum centers on a young woman at three points in her life and the family tragedies that cause her to lose her grip on reality. Willis will play the father of Belle’s character.

Shooting will start in early October in Shreveport, La.

"Three Stories About Joan" marks the first production from production shingle Willis Brothers Films, which Willis recently formed with his brother, David, and Stephen Eads. Moshe Diamant ("The Black Dahlia") and Mark Damon"Monster") will partner with the banner to produce the film.

Willis, whose recent acting credits include "Assassination of a High School President" and "Planet Terror," has segued from his starring role in Disney’s "The Surrogates" to pre-production on "Three Stories About Joan."

Belle’s upcoming credits include the supernatural thriller "Push" alongside Djimon Hounsou and Chris Evans.

Did anyone see 10,,000 B.C.? Because that movie was just horrible.

I saw 10,00 B.C. It was entertaining, but by no means a "good" movie. I'm not sure which was worse, the plot, the acting or if we should just blame everything on the director.
