With the other super hero movie looking like crap, I guess it's only fitting I end Wednesday's evening news with more unpleasantness.
EW.com is reporting that Cameron Diaz is in talks to star opposite Seth Rogan in The Green Hornet. Normally I'd post just a little bit, but that's the news right there:
Cameron Diaz is considering an offer to play the female lead in Green Hornet, opposite Seth Rogen. A deal hasn't been sealed yet, but sources tell EW that she is in early talks for the role. Her reps at CAA declined comment. Michel Gondry is set to direct the film based on a script by Rogen and his writing partner Evan Goldberg. Shooting is supposed to begin shortly, with a release date already set for July 9, 2010.
Seriously? Cameron Diaz? I mean she was hot back in The Mask, but I don't wanna see her in this. Bad enough I'm trying to get over Seth Rogan as The Green Hornet, now Diaz as his love interest is another hurdle I'd have to jump over before crossing the finish line of acceptability. Are there no hot actresses left that can act?
Casting Cameron Diaz is like going with your sixth choice as your prom date.
What do you guys think? Good or bad if Diaz is in it? Or does it even matter?
