Captain America News

By Edgar 'El Toro' Arce on May 21, 2008

The guys over at IESB.net alerted us that they just recently spoke to Marvel honcho Kevin Feige about the Captain America film coming soon.

After Iron Man’s success, Marvel has set a release date for 2011. When asked about the time period, Feige said they would stay faithful to the comic and stick to the World War 2 period.

Also confirmed was the rumored Captain America shield that is visible in Iron Man, saying it was meant more as an easter egg and doesn’t have anything more to do with the each other.

And whether or not Mathew McConaughey was being considered for the part of Captain America, Feige gave a resounding “absolutely false”.

Well I for one am relieved. I can’t imagine Matthew as a superhero…sorry dude!
