I forgot to mention that this story is about Evan Rachel Wood being cast in the Spider-Man musical. Stupid me. I forgot that important tidbit of information when I wrote the header. Hollyscoop has the scoop: Evan Rachel Wood is set to play Mary Jane Watson in the Broadway edition of Spider-Man. Hollyscoop first reported the news of the casting back in December. But then scheduling conflicts got in the way for Evan, causing her to second guess her commitment to the Broadway show. But Moviefone has just confirmed that Evan is indeed on board as Mary Jane, and has pulled out of another movie to make things work. The website reports Wood has quit Zach Snyder’s Sucker Punch. I mean, she looks a lot more like Mary Jane Watson than Kirsten Dunst ever did and is certainly easier on the eyes if you want to compare the two. I say switch the actors and put Evan in the movie.
