Although I'm not a horror guy (Ryan Rotten and Brad Miska already do a kick ass job covering everything horror) this scoop was to hot to pass.
Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes and New Line have already hired a director for the reboot of "Nightmare on Elm Street," bringing on Samuel Bayer to direct the reimagining of the Wes Craven classic.
You know who Platinum Dunes is looking at for the role of Freddy Krueger?

None other than Rorschach himself!
Spot on casting in my opinion. A very hot casting choice. After all he played a child molestor in Little Children and a loco mental patient in Scorsese's upcoming SHUTTER ISALND.

But that's not all!
Haley also has an offer out to him for Simon West's TV-pilot HUMAN TARGET that the WB is doing along with McG and DC Comics.
Based on the cult DC Comics book and written by "Jericho" co-creator Jonathan Steinberg, it centers on a mysterious security expert who goes undercover to protect clients in danger.
Now if he books the role of Freddy, does he pass on Human Target? Or what if he books Human Target? Will his tv schedule allow him to do Freddy?
Very interesting developments indeed.
