Exclusive: First Look At Bizarro Superman By Kellvin Chavez on April 05, 2009 El Mayimbe here...   Spec season is alive and well once again in Hollywood and that's good.   Once in while here at the site, we look a certain specs which we think either have merit or of interest to fanboys.   Enter Bizarro Superman.   Robert Gordon, the writer of such movies like Men In Black 2 & Galaxy Quest decided to create Bizarro world on spec for shiz & giggles.   At press time, I'm unaware if a studio purchased the script, but development executives in Hollywood are certainly getting a kick out of it and I'm sure our readers would too.   Reader Dr. Strangefist took a look at the spec script for us in our current First Look Episode. We know the character this is a movie and the DC universe has the greatest potential. Can we stop pussy footing around with Lex and get to some epic battles with superman. The way they should have done Superman Returns is that in his absence Luthor went ahead and cloned Superman. Everyone is so happy with (clone) Superman Returns and he goes about saving the day but something is an odd the entire time. though he saves the day he doesnt remember small details which bring about the investigative skills of Lois Lane. Along the way clone Superman becomes increasing violent and eventually order martial law. The audience does not know it is a Clone Superman untill 1/2 through the movie When the real superman returns and clone superman body deteriorates to Bizzarro. Because of his travel through space (insert scientif mumbo jumbo) Superman is not initial at his 100% strength. (Sorta like Death of Superman movie where he has to wear a solar suit) Big final battle yada yada superman kisses lois yada yada and no evidence can be formally brought to put Luthor in prison and Superman swears he Luthor will have to attone for his crimes yada yada. But for a new movie they should def go with the Death of Superman Storyline. Through Luthor's ill advised schemes for world domination he somehow brings about Doomsday. Enter Superman. The Bizzaro idea always interests us cause Sup is so powerful, so great a character that we try to think who is left for Sup. My idea is and working script is based on having Sup being exposed to something that acts like say a drug and it has it's affects giving a human villan leverage...... Thus allowing other villans to act and focusing on a better plot around Sup and main characters. This gives Sup more to strive and work towards. Everyone loved when Sup fought hard for humans and that became his weakness not some rock which gets taunted at him throughtout the whole film. Anyone interested to hear more let me know, could use a new editor. My editor is out on this project and is going full steam ahead with another idea I had.
