Exclusive Scoop: The Player May Join Stark Industries By El Mayimbe on December 17, 2008 El Mayimbe here...   Got a new source and even though it is a tad bit late at night to double check, he passed my prelimanary source check and besides I figured this scoop is too damn hot to wait till morning. Anyway, we all need a jodido break from all these corny whack ass Batman 3 casting rumors.   Ya'll want some real Superhero casting news of the Marvel variety?   How about this!   From what I'm told, Tim Robbins is going to be playing Howard Stark in an important flashback sequence that is going to set up the Avengers and Captain America films.  Jon [Favreau] wanted to get a good actor because he didn't think the guy who played Howard in the last film could carry such an important scene.  Makes sense to me because Howard Stark would be around the time of the Captain America Super Soldier experiment.   That is not all, check this out...   I'm also told that HAWKEYE and BLACK WIDOW are definitely in Iron Man 2 and they wont be cameos either. You guys want to take this as a rumor due to the timing then it's all good with me till further notice.   Stay tuned as more develops and Happy Holidays folks! Mr. Artist on 2008-12-18 06:50:10 If this is true, this just saved Iron Man 2 for me. I'll forget about the whole Howard for Cheadle thing, if Hawkeye is a co-character in Iron Man 2. Hawkeye is my favorite. The Marvel Studios Iron Man movies never seem to let me down. I felt left down after the whole Cheadle & Howard thing, because I like Howard, but Cheadle is cool too. But, it still was a let down after Iron Man was basically flawless. So now if my favorite character, Hawkeye, is in the movie as a co-character, actually in alot of the movie, then I'm game for Iron Man 2. That news just got me excited about Iron Man 2 again. The sequel could be flawless again for me as a fan. Plus War Machine & now Black Widow is very cool too. Thats very exciting to have so many heroes in just 1 movie. & The Avengers movie isn't even here yet. Oh yeah, Samuel L. Jackson aka Nick Fury is in it too. Why did they choose him for Mr. Stark in the first place if all the contracts were set up for 2-3 films? Stupid - now they have a "name" with a hefty salary, meaning they're cash blind and over-spending here, there, and every-where. Black Widow and hawkeye not getting own movie so why not add then in a origin Avengers movie just in case we will have the in the Avengers movie. but I am sorry Brad Pitt will not be so great in this role not enough of a jerk. i think brad gets enough work people.maybe they can make Hugh Laurie look a little younger.
