Exclusive: Shoot 'Em Up Promo Reel & Pics!
By Kellvin Chavez on September 18, 2006

While relaxing with La Familia over the weekend, I received a package from a far-east
country. For a moment, the thought of Anthrax popped into mind so I didn't feel
safe opening it till now. What was in this package you're asking? Well, fortunately,
it wasn't Anthrax, but instead, a DVD copy of the promo trailer for
SHOOT
'EM UP!!!
According to the note enclosed from Asian Sister, which is what she wanted to be called,
she attended this years Cannes Film Festival where she acquired the promo reel.
This is the same clip shown to buyers at the festival. Asian Sister writes that
since she enjoyed our early coverage of the script review and animatics so much that
she thought she'd return the favor with the promo trailer! Which I have to say kicks
a whole lot of ass! But, far be it from me to keep this to myself. Despite the
low-res quality, I think you'll enjoy this as well. My new Asian Sister finishes
off her note with a lovely, SHE LOVE ME LONG TIME and hinted that the film is
slated for Feb.14th 2007 but I doubt that it's official just yet.
I have to admit, I'm not sure how the studio is going to react to this. You
might want to grab this as fast as you can before the Cease and Desist letters
show up at the office. BUT, given New Line's hands off approach to how we've
presented the Script Review and Animatics and that this is a bit bigger than
those, I'm not sure if they'll come at us with their necks bent or send us flowers.
But given that this is NOT the official trailer for the film, I'm hoping for flowers (I'm partial to white roses).
I really dug the promo. I hope you all get that little 007 wink toward the
end there. Of course we all know that Clive was never offered any role relating
to that number, right? Wink Wink.

Also if that isn't enough Shoot 'Em Up coverage for you, EL MAS PINGON has
grabbed the first stills from the film as well.
So plan to spend Valentines Day with the one you love and SHOOT
'EM UP. Nothing says I love you quite like government conspiracies
and lactating breasts.
Click below to check out the stills.

A lonely outsider living in the shadows of his tragic past, rescues
a baby from certain death and finds himself embroiled in a nefarious government
plot. En route, he “hooks up” with a prostitute who specializes
in lactation fantasies and who will help him feed and take care of the orphan
child. Together they take on the trigger happy gangster politicians, and in
a cinematic homage to Serge Leone, John Woo, Jean Pierre Melville shoot ‘em
up’s, they bring down the Government and save the day. In the wreckage
they find they have accidentally created their own little fractured yet functioning
family.
