EXCLUSIVE! The First Images Of Megatron From Transformers 2?

Since Michael Bay has been keeping everything involving Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen a secret, it's been hard for fans knowing exactly what is up with some of their favorite Decepticons and Autobots.

One of the big questions is, is Megatron returning and if so, what will he look like? If these images are any indication, he appears to be a giant ass armored tank.

He kind of looks like Galvatron a bit from these pictures. I think these are toy packaging images when you look at them. I came to this conclusion because one pic says Megatron in the lower right and also they have that giant Toy logo on them. I'm an awesome detective. If this truly is what Megatron will look like, (you can see his face in a couple of shots) then he's going to be one bad mother f-er in this sequel.

He almost has an Alien look to him in regards to the color and armor. You know,
if the Aliens were tanks...

Alright guys, what do you think? Is this the new Megatron? Is he in the sequel and in this form or is this just clever toy packaging? Are they fakes? Early conceptual art? I think it's legit but you guys make up your own mind by commenting below!

It's Megs. Based on comments Orci's made they aren't going the Galvatron route. And just because it has a BFG doesn't mean Galvatron. Megatron has been a tank in the G2, Armada, Robotmasters, and Classics, and was gonna be one in the Transtech line. And for the record, TFW2005 has a picture of the concept art for Megatron's robot mode as well.

My guess is The Fallen resurrects Megatron into the form of Galvatron. Given that The Fallen is just as powerful as Unicron, I am thinking that it just may be possible that's what happens.

I kinda thought the point of transforming was to blend in with the humans, i mean the tank looks neat but whether it is in futuristic tank form or robot form im gonna be pretty suspicious of it driving down the road. In case you forgot, the autobots do NOT want to be seen or heard. They WANT to stay hidden and not let people know they are around. However, Megatron could care less, he wants to destroy the entire planet so why would he want to hide himself. Sure it could be smart for him to hide himself once and a while but seeing as how he is not afraid of the human race nor the autobots, he won't be concealing himself. THINK about it

I've been a fan of Transformers since I was a kid looks sweet I'm just glad he dose not transform in to that corny 12in hand gun I can see how they would want to make it to fit a movie for every one young and old just be glad its not like the cartoons cause they were a little corny in the day but fun to watch. now for Megatron returning back from his watery grave I kinda thought they would bring him back even Thu starscream was going to be head evil villain but how are they going to fish Megatron out of the deep blue sea cause if I'm not mistaken it's cold down there and autobots and deceptikons don't do well in the cold even Thu the story says they live in space haha its much colder in space hello but besides those two miner details this move should rock

I'm a big transformers fan, from the start to now. But I was under the impression that the Autobots and Decepticons got their alternate forms from the surrounding that they are in. Like taking a scan of something then transforming into and they could only do it once when they were sparks. My Question is Where in the hell did a tank, of that kind come from that Megatron could scan it and become it. Are they just stupid or something, do they even read or watch the show before they try to shove it into ours and kids faces.

I think he should look a lil crazy, having 3/4 of the cube in him, but since they dropped his ass into the ocean, he should scan some pre-historic bones, or an old sunken tank if need be. But it needs to fit, he shouldnt just jump back into action w/o an explanation, guess we'll see??

i was born in 77. i have a Dreamwave Optimus and Megatron G1 tattooed on my back. i am a true and loyal fanboy. u haters dont have any idea what ur talking about. first of all, a tank is a mobile, giant gun so it is right up megatron's alley. and yes it is megatron (the fallen --hello!) There is no hope for unicron, srry, we're still establishing the TF earth origins, the public has to get used to the characters and the folklore before going into space or to the big boy. it would be like introducing Doomsday in the first Superman. like all movie translations or established franchises, u have to make adjustments for public consumption: eg. a giant robot cannot change into a handheld gun; advanced robots from another planet are not going to look like a bunch of refrigerator boxes, they have workings and fixtures we will not understand; names will be changed; new vehicles will be used (heaven forbid they dont use 1980's rusted beaters, oh no!) etc etc. And most important here folks u have to understand, Transformers is not your story to tell. You do not own it. It is not for you to say what should happen or what should not be. All you have is a bruised ego and a tiny little personal opinion and surprise surprise nothing is ever good enough for you. Just chill out and enjoy the show. Be happy Peter Cullen is with us still. The battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force. The Autobots believing that peace was possible finds out that Megatron's dead body has been stolen from the US Military by Skorpinox and revives him using his own spark. Now Megatron is back seeking revenge and with Starscream and more Decepticon reinforcements on the way, the Autobots with reinforcements of their own, may have more to deal with then meets the eye.

I think the Galvatron thing is pretty cool. It's not so much as a character dieing and coming back, it's actually how the story line goes, of course with come gaps in there because he's been more than just a gun throughout the series. Let's just pray that there's NEVER a Rodimus Prime...like NEVER. The Constructicons would be more than Awesome, but also perhaps the Stunticons, one of the 2 would be great, then the autobots would ahve to counter with their multibots. Another thing would be the Dino Bots, it would just be hard to write them into current timeline of today. NOTHING would top Grimlock. AND YES, to add to those who actually understand, the Autobots are the only ones trying to conceal themselves, the decepticons could care less. The main question now though, in movie format, should be that now that they had this epic battle in the middle of a city...folks kinda know they are here now. Other than that, give us multibots like Stunticons, Bruticus, or best even Constructicons, then have the autobots counter with the Aerial bots as Air Superion or something. Then they can bring in Jetfire to chase after Starscream. Hopefully by the sequal Optimus finds his nads since he didnt have them by the end of the movie. Otherwise, bring in the DinoBots and let them wreck shop, but oh yeah, they wouldnt fit in as "concealed" would they? Still would be nice to see though. So now that Galvatron pops up, does this mean we get to see Ultramagnus, then the inevitable Ultra-Prime transformation? Or is that asking for a straw too much?

Actually Rikka G. , there are females transformers, some of the more notable ones are Arcee and Moonracer, but there have been more through the series. Others include Firestar, Crasher (decepticon), and Nightracer (decepticon), those are the few that I can remember outside the autobot nurses that helped Red Alert at times.

The only complaint I have towards the last Transformers movie is .....WHERE IN THE FUCK WAS OPTIMUS PRIME'S TRAILOR AT???? First and foremost, what happened to the fight that led the decepticons and autobots landing on earth. What happened to Teletran or do you forget who that was. Megatron is not a gun, wtf. No spike, wtf. No Soundwave, wtf. No energon cubes, wft. If that happens to be Galvatron, no Unicron, wtf. I grew up with The Transformers and they totally fucked it up. This could have been easily a 10 part movie, but what happened, they fucked it up. Even though the robots look cool, what happened to their distinct different appearance you can barely tell who is who. No color, no distinct features. Before we even talk triple changers what about the Dinobots. Now that I think about this could have been easily a 20 part movie, leading up from the beginnning to Unicron to Radimus Prime to Beast Wars to Beast Machines, but what happened they fucked it up.

You know to tell yall I grew up on the transformers collecting the toys the comic books and even watching the animation. Transformers is the best next thing to creating a movie on this planet. If we all just open our eyes to what the creators are doing and follow their guide we will see their creativity (if we say have been with them from day one) in the artistic of the special effects. Wow I kinda had a similar image of how he might look in my mind beforehand, but I didn't expect the treads to look so freakin' kool! Plus those thrusters in the back are nice, and you can see his head!!! For all those people disappointed in the first movie, keep in mind the fact that they were aiming to make the movie look realistic as well as cool. Let's face it, I don't think many people who haven't seen the old show (even people who have) would think a badass robot like megatron turning into a little pistol would be awesome in this day in age. Look, the reason Megatron doesn't blend in in THIS film could be because he doesn't care, but they explained in the first movie he was a alien jet because when he landed onearth he A. crashed an went unconscious and B. there was no advanced machinery to scan at that time period. Plus for that one guy who can't tell them apart, it's not that hard, they still have different colors and stuff. Besides, Bay was emphasizing the fact that they are aliens when he gave them that weird organic metal look.

To be honest, I never really got on with the whole Galvatron thing. Besides, how can you bring him back after his spark was toasted by the All Spark; it was raw engergy? In My opinion why megatron is in this movie It should fallow the history and Galvatron should appear. and why is that the decepticons have the beter dessign on the movie and the autobots get the same shape and less power. You can't have Galvatron without Unicron schmucks. And although CGI is awesome nowadays, it is not possible to bring Unicron into this story right now. I do agree with Megatron showing up as a tank but I think that a lot of the art that has been released is just that art, possibly part of the new Japanese toy line coming out. I just wish they would hurry up and give us a peak so all these different rumors could be verified or proven wrong.

another thing for you geniuses who call yourselves diehard fans and say that you remember. Starscream is not the only Transformer to have fired Megatron as a pistol. Soundwave did it numerous times and Optimus Prime did as well on at least 2 occasions. Quit bitching about the first movie because it was golden the way it was. It had everything it needed to connect an older generation with a younger that had never truly experienced Transformers the way we did as kids. Michael Bay is doing an astounding job with this franchise. If you don't like it don't watch it and stop bashing it. I grew up in the G1 transformers universe and I am telling you that he did it right. Just one other thing that I would like to point out, Sam Witwicky was around well before Spike was in the transformers Universe but, you guys are the people who remember. I read the IMDB synopsis.... if this stuff is genuine and not stuff that was "leaked" by the film crew to throw us off "real" spoilers... then according to the description-yes, that'd be megatron revived by scorponok... not sure how that works as they all got dumped in the bigass Laurentian Abyss but from what it said scorponok pops into a secret army base and shoves his spark up megatrons kaboose and RUARGHAGHRG "i'm back babae!" [smoking a cigar] so perhaps it's the old "government only told you what you wanted to hear" ply-they kept his body 4 research and stuff then along comes a spider to revive old Megs. TaDa he goes all alien bug tank and goes on a murderous rampage From what i gather about the Arcee thing i believe she's gonna be a rather retarded character... i'd think they went for an approach like the minicons in Armada, little human counterparts or like that thing Wheeljack said he'd build for Spike in the episode with the premiere of the Insecticons. I think the constructicon stuff may be cool in concept but it may look a bit odd in the movie as well as being barely effective figures... i think it'd look much like Devastator in New York [King Kong and oh my they dismembered Prime]. Also from lots of little clues and the type of stuff Michael bay does... I'd say TF2:ROTF should start off with like a special army black ops unit cleaning up the mess the remaining Decepticons are making with the help of new Autobots... more or less similar to the 1986 movie plot now... Earth has advanced the Autobots live happily and plan to retake Cybertron whilst the Decepticons and his buddies pop over to annihilate everybody!
