I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to fucking post Batman news now every week for the next three years until the new one comes out. A reader sent us this fan created poster from some forum boards (Super Hero Hype I think. I'm not gonna go look for it, but if that's where it came from, I gotta credit it.)
I wonder how long this took to do? I hate talented people. He probably has a tricked out MySpace page that makes all of ours look really crummy.
I know fans want The Riddler in the next installment, but why? He's been done before, as have Joker and Penguin. Let's gets a fresh villain up in this Batbitch. If Nolan does do an old school Batman villain, I hope he goes with Riddler. Beats Poison Ivy at least. Maybe the next villain could be Dalton from Road House? Naw, Patrick Swayze would kick his ass.
Here's the poster in all its fake glory. Props to the artist for a job well done.
I like how the face is blanked out. I was going to Photoshop a picture of Ricky Gervais' face, but thats just my own personal choice as who I'd like to see play the part. (I'm kidding. Maybe nothing is blanked out and it's Wesley Snipes.)

Since TDK everyone's been saying that the Riddler should be just as dark and grimey as the Joker. But I've been so against that, thinking rather that he should be very dressed up, like he is in the poster. He's not a trickster god like Joker but rather a crazy man made crazy by society. Or something like that.

I say if Nolan makes this a trilogy(taking into consideration Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman are in their 70's), he should consider closing it out and and actually trying to set it up for a story similar to Frank MIller's, the dark knight returns. he could do this by having the third movie be the introduction to Bane from Knightfall(Except without the Azrael story line). He could take a 6 year hiatus and come back for the TDKR. I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to do batman movies as a career. then they can reboot it later.

Oh...and if he does look for a Bane...I'm thinking Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson...I think he's articulate enought and can pull off the Brazilian Assasin thing. It would be perfect. Batman's already been challenged to the limit psychologically. Now he can be physically and mentally challenged to his utmost limit.

There are few roles people are born to play, but I think Angelina Jolie is almost a MUST for Catwoman, and maybe Ellen Page as Harley Quinn. I'd be interested in seeing what Nolan could do with Batman having to go up against two female villains, and what dynamics, if any, would be changed by having the women be evil and not just the men.

Well I have a idea that could work in which 3 villians can make their way into 3rd Batman film. The Riddler, Catwoman and Mr Freeze. The general idea would be there a jewel that these villians want. One wants it cause she loves jewels, the other cause he has some diabolical plan and the other can be used to posibly save his wife. I would give Johnny Depp The Riddler, Patrick Stewart Mr Freeze and not sure bout Catwoman.

Instead of "Guess who?" I think it should say, "Riddle me this..." Its obvious its the Riddler, so I think the text should reflex it and give credit to the phrase. The Riddler never said "guess." Just my 2 bits. Cool graphic though.

The tie is wrong - I like the concept, but the tie should be green or black with white lettering - and maybe a paisley pattern of question marks around a singular large one - more of a fractal look. Maybe something different with the crown of the cane too instead of a Lucite/crystal end.

If you haven't seen the Riddler poster with David Tennant, check it out. Even if he picked the riddler, I doubt he'd cast Tennant, but I think it would be an awesome choise.

Kristen Bell as Harley Quin is great. I think Depp would take the job of playing Riddler if the rumors are true. The Azrael and Bane storyline... I couldn't agree more. The Riddler just seems like the best next step to me. The studio is going to be thinking in terms of press and the creative advertising they did with the Dark Knight campaign. I think they can pull off something similar, if not better for the Riddler. The clues and scavenger hunts would work all too perfect with a Riddler themed movie. After that they could use any villain they wanted because we'd all be eating out of the Batman franchise's hand.

In my opinion, I think Mr.Reese will be a Riddler and Ramirez will be something, I dunno who, but there might be a reason that she's still alived. About the Riddler, I'm sure he'll be in the next movie.
