USA Today features a story about Fast and Furious 4 filming once again. The gimmick to the film this time is that it will feature its original cast members, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker.
Apparently either the fans have demanded they bring them back for glory….or the writers are out of ideas. Think about it….the film is self explanatory. It’s about cars screeching and racing and crashing. You can mix and match actors all you want, or change the setting…but you still have the cars. If you bring back the original cast members…now you’ve got something special.
The film follows Brian (Paul Walker) whom is freed from prison (the authorities found out that he let Dominic played by Vin Diesel go at the end of the first film) to help the feds stop a heroin importer known as Braga. With the help of an informant named James Park, Brian – and ultimately Dominic Toretto – wins a place on the criminal's team, where he – and his flashy Nissan plan to catch the man red-handed.
Anyhow, take a look at the action shots of Vin Diesel getting out of a smoking car (I mean the car is blowing smoke…really), or watch as he reaches out the car window as we all do when we’re trying to save our buddy that’s hanging on for life on the back of a truck!! Sniff…sniff…what’s that I smell? Burning rubber? Sniff…..Sniff….no, its box office money. This pile of metal will make big bucks which can only mean one thing…Fast and Furious 5: the Chronicles of Riddick 2!
Fast and the Furious 4 is due out June 5th 2009.
