Ok, so we've seen Downey Jr. as Holmes, now the guys over at Just Jared have the first pictures of Jude Law as Dr. Watson.
I don't know if this look is true to the books or not. I'll let you guys decide that. But Director Guy Ritchie says a couple of things I thought were pretty funny.
“We’re going to try to introduce something we haven’t seen before, authentic to the narrative,” director Guy Ritchie has said of his new flick. “We’re trying to make this film fresh. We should have some good fight sequences.”
Were the Sherlock tales known for a lot of fight sequences? If so, then thats fine by me. Is Sherlock more of a stand up fighter or is he known in the crime solving circles as a ground and pound type of guy? This next quote should be an awesome slap in the face to every actor who's played a role requiring an English accent.
He added, “My one concern was the accents but this is no longer the case. Robert Downey has the best English accent I’ve ever heard.
Quite the compliment! I love the ass kissing in Hollywood. LOVE IT.
Click on either picture below to check out the other eight. The first pic is Jude by himself and the other is with him standing next to Downey. I don't know why I described the pictures to you. Maybe because I just woke up and I'm feeling groggy.
I think Jude looks like a rather dapper English porn star.

i could be wrong, but i seem to recall that in the early books (before the pipe and deerstalker that we all know and love), one of the things about Sherlock Holmes was that he knew Judo?!
I know you might think that sounds mental, but i am sure thats right!!
Anywho, Guy Ritchie aside the script must be something pretty good to have gotten Downey Jr on board, and as much as i dislike Jude Law i am sure he will be good... was there any confirmation on Russell Crowe as Dr. Moriarty?
