Forbes Spotlights Michael Bay

Michael Bay: Love him or hate him, you have to admit that the guys has plenty of success at the box office. With just seven movies he's helped studios rake in about $2.6 billion over the years, although it hasn't all been sailing as seen in Forbes' recently spotlight on the director.

Here are a few interesting snippets from the piece:

On working with Bruce Willis on Armageddon: "He has a tendency to try to be a director and change actors' lines," says Bay. "I don't think Bruce liked that I had a pair of balls."

On the advertising deals he makes to keep his movies on or under budget: "People say it's whoring out, but it's not," says Bay, 44. "Advertising is in our lives. It's unavoidable. To think you can't have it in a movie isn't real life."

On the future of videogames: "The game companies want directors to work for them, but they don't want to pay them," he complains. "We want to make it more like a movie studio--where everyone gets a piece of the action."
