Robin Hood/Nottingham Plot Details

MTV has a followup story in regards to Russell Crowe playing both Robin Hood AND The Sheriff of Nottingham in the Ridley Scott directed tale. Are you confused? Good, so am I:

Asked about the confusion over who Russell is in fact playing, Grazer said “The two role confusion is that what Robin Hood does is he sees Nottingham in battle very early in the movie and Nottingham dies. And Robin Hood takes over the identity of Nottingham. Thats how it plays out.” Grazer went on to call the film “an origin story” for the characters.

Yay! Another origin story! Because nobody knows where Robin Hood originated! I HATE origin stories. I don't care to see their origin and I don't want to know it. We're not hiring them. We don't need background checks, (well, maybe for Wesley Snipes we do) so we certainly don't need the origin story of a character that's been around since the 14th century.

Besides, this movie will suck if it doesn't have flaming arrows. Even Costner knew you had to have flaming arrows.

Robin Hood always seemed a bit Gay to me. He spent most of his time prancing around in tights with other dudes in the forest. Now puffy faced bloated tool Crowe is going to play both him and his nemesis? Blah! Who's playing Fryer Tuck, Andy Dick?
