Hollywood 2008 Black List Released. Caution: For Your Eyes Only
By George 'El Guapo' Roush on December 10, 2008
El Guapo spy file: Case #54937722.poo

I've just arrived in Berlin to meet with my German liason, Hértits Wérehuge. I wasn't sure what this meeting would be about. This isn't the first time I've had Hértits in my face, whispering dark secrets to me. Her boss, only known to the world as Sûckedmedry, was always keeping a close watch on us.

I was nervous about seeing Hértits again. For some reason, whenever I bump into Hértits, it's an awkward conversation. She handed me a list. I wasn't sure what it was. Whenever my hands are near Hértits, I could be exposed to anything. I was told to look it over but I wasn't allowed to share this list with anyone. But I cannot keep these secrets to myself. Although I'm secretly in love with Hértits, I must perform my duty for my country. I've always lived by the code; Hértits come first, country comes second. But as I  get older, I realize my priorities must change.

Here is what the Black List contains, taken straight from the document itself:

THE BLACK LIST was compiled from the suggestions of over 250 film executives, each of whom contributed the names of up to ten of their favorite scripts that were written in, or are somehow uniquely associated with, 2008 and will not be released in theaters during this calendar year. This year, scripts had to receive at least four mentions to be included on THE BLACK LIST. All reasonable effort has been made to confirm the information contained herein. THE BLACK LIST apologizes for all misspellings, mis attributions, incorrect representation identification, and questionable “2008” affiliations. It has been said many times, but it’s worth repeating: THE BLACK LIST is not a “best of” list. It is, at best, a “most liked” list.

I shall paste the entirety of this list for your perusal. But be warned, I have noticed some things on this list, like Inglorious Basterds, are in production as we speak. So take care when reading this list. What you do with this information is up to you. Just be aware that lives could be at stake. I'm still in shock that the Gary Coleman - Emmanuel Lewis project is listed as "Available". Perhaps one of our enemies will acquire this?? My contact information is below the list. Go now, before Sûckedmedry comes to finish me off. For good.

Grand Theft Auto?

is the 'Grand Theft Auto' related to the game. The only reason why I don't know is because a.) it doesn't mention the game at all in the synopsis, and b.) Vegas is being used instead of a fictional name. (IE Liberty City is a fictionalized New York)

I think J.T. Manis's novel "APOCALYPSE" would make a great movie. I enjoyed the book a great deal.
No connection to GTA

More than likely it'd be set in Liberty City if it was. Just a matter of coincidental names.
