Continuing with his quest to do a movie out of every Hunter S. Thompson book ever written, johnny Depp is now filming The Rum Diary. What is The Rum Diary about? Here's the synopsis:
The story involves a journalist named Paul Kemp, who moves from New York to work for a small newspaper, The Daily News, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Set in the late 1950s, the novel encompasses a tangled love story of jealousy, treachery and violent alcoholic lust among the American expatriates who staff the newspaper.
Popsugar.com has an image of Depp from the movie. The best part of the image is the description preceding it from some chick named Molly. I guess her panties got so wet, she doesn't know her left from her right:

The last line of the quoted article shows the stupidity of some people nowadays: The seat to Depp's right would be outside the car. You'd have to be seated to his left in order to stay comfortably next to him. Otherwise, you're just hanging out the car.

One of the best books ever written, hope it portraits it well on screen. Depp loves HST, so I'm sure he wont let us down. Bring on the Curse of Lono
