Justin Theroux has just been tapped to write the script for Space Invader and it's set to be a romantic comedy starring astronauts.
Now, here are the really good parts: Will Arnett is attached to star and Theroux, for those of you who don't remember, is responsible for the screenplays for Tropic Thunder and Iron Man 2, which means Space Invader could actually be kind of great, bordering on awesome. The original draft of Space Invader, written by Mike Lisbe and Nate Reger, was about "a man who decides to go to space after he suspects that his longtime girlfriend, an astronaut, is cheating on him with another spacewalker." I can't help but start to like the sound of this project.
