Kidman and Jackman Take A Ride
By Ryan 'The Rican with the Irish name' McLelland on May 25, 2007
Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge!) is currently filming his newest film Australia in the Down Under where Aussie co-stars Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman have been cozying up with the locals, each other, and on film riding horseback and herding cattle.
Kidman has even brought her 12-year-old son Connor Cruise onto the set where the mini Tom has gotten to do a slew of fun things with Mom like take a horse ride with the infamous Wolverine. Kidman was also spotted at the Bowen's Grand View Pub in Bowen, Australia with Connor, three bodyguards, a personal trainer, and her stunt double. Being the good mom, Kidman would not allow Connor inside, so the lad stayed outside for twenty minutes with a bodyguard while Nicole got her drink on inside. After those twenty minutes and then signing some autographs, Nicole finally leaves her entourage and takes lil' Connor home.
Luhrmann's film, scheduled for release in 2008, follows Kidman's Lady Sarah Ashley, an English aristocrat who inherits a fair bit of land in Australia just prior to World War II. When evil English cattle barons plan to take away her hand, Ashley teams up with super-rough-n-tough cattle driver Hugh Jackman to drive cattle across the land, only to run right into the Japanese forces who bombed Pearl Harbor onsite to bomb Darwin, Australia.
