Knightley in King Lear
By Edgar 'El Toro' Arce on May 21, 2008

According to a report over at
Telegraph, Keira Knightley is to star in a new film adaptation of Shakespearean tragedy King Lear.
She will play Cordelia, the youngest daughter of the King, who will be portrayed by Sir Anthony Hopkins.
Gwyneth Paltrow is tipped to take the role of Regan, Lear's treacherous middle daughter. His eldest daughter, Goneril, is yet to be cast. The budget for the film will be $35 million. There have been so many versions of this play, and it will be interpreting to see what the film makers do to make this one stand out from all the rest. I can’t say I’m too excited about this film, but apparently there is an audience for it out there.
Will you be one of the few in the audience watching?
