As some of you may remember, Disney's upcoming film Rapunzel is a pet fancy of mine, what with it being a CG film that's been made in the grand tradition of 2-D animation, borrowing its style from French Rococo artist Jean-Honore Fragonard.
While not many plot details have been given, and we've been limited to oohing and ahing over this concept art, we are learning more about the title heroine. Mandy Moore, the former teen idol who's been hired to lend her voice to Rapunzel, had this to say about the latest Disney princess.
"She's sort of the quintessential sassy, feisty Disney heroine. She's quite modern, quite a curious girl as well. She's just coming into her own and is anxious to figure out a way to see the world around her that she's been kept away from for so many years."
Did we mention that Rapunzel will be a musical as well? Yep, expect songbird Moore to break out some tunes.
