Pic Of New Moon's Volturi Has Leaked

Pic Of New Moon's Volturi Has Leaked Though I'm dedicated to bringing you the news, I'm not so dedicated that I've read New Moon or Eclipse. I managed to read (in this thing called a "book") Twilight, but I couldn't take the harlequin romance. Just was not my thing.

That being said, I have things like The Twilight Wiki who can concisely help me define "The Volturi" and why these characters are so important and/or cool:

The Volturi are the equivalent of a royal family to vampires. They operate from the city of Volterra, Italy. The Volturi have existed for at least three thousand years, if not more. They are the largest coven in existence, followed by Carlisle's family and Tanya's. However, they do not follow a "vegetarian" diet, as seen in New Moon, in which they capture and murder several humans in a carefully planned "meal". They are considered the de facto royal family of vampires, as they are the largest and most influential coven in existence . The Volturi deal swiftly and decisively with anything they consider a threat to their city, or the vampire world. They destroy anyone who attempts to overthrow them, or resist their authority and, at Caius' insistence, have hunted werewolves (true werewolves, not shape-shifters) to near extinction in Europe and Asia.

Ok, that's kind of cool as far as vampire mythos goes.

Now, a picture of 5 of the Volturi in full costume have leaked, along with the group's official seal. These photos look to be taken from Summit's own promo art. So someone over there is either pissed or very cleverly leaking some pro-New Moon press as Bryce Dallas Howard stomps all over David Slade's threequel.

It's probably the former, but we can hope that Summit is smart enough for the latter.

Below are Michael Sheen as Aro, Christopher Heyerdahl as Marcus, Jamie Campbell Bower as Caius, creepy Dakota Fanning as Jane and Cameron Bright as Alec.

volturi

Ok, even as someone who isn't interested in the romance, I'm still a guy interested in vampires and these designs aren't half bad.

What's actually bugging me is that Michael Sheen, who played Werewolf Lucien in the Underworld series, is now on the other side of the completely fictional werewolf/vampire feud?

Blood traitor.
