Quaid Talks G.I. Joe

Date: February 11, 2008

By: Ryan 'The Rican with the Irish name' McLelland
Source: Collider

Ever since Dennis Quaid had his comeback with Parent Trap and The Rookie I've welcomed him with open arms.  Thankfully studios have done the same as well and he's continued a great string of movies.

His greatest?  Being cast as General Hawk in the G.I. Joe flicks.  That's right - "flicks."  He's set in stone for three films!

On the flick Quaid said to Collider, "It’s set a little bit in the future, and in a way the Joe’s are an international sort of special forces type of group that mainly fights these terrorists groups that spring up. It’s really more like James Bond than it would be about…yeah it’s more like James Bond. And with the group being Spectre – there is this evil mastermind who is behind it. I think it’s going to be more like the old James Bond’s - like the Dr. No’s - where the mastermind has his own private island and all these people are wearing matching coveralls."

Hmmmm...intriguing.

OF COURSE we here at Latino Review double as G.I. Joe Central especially because of huge fans like El Mayimbe and myself.

El Mayimbe has been DEEP in the trenches reviewing the Joe scripts ever since the first draft - check out what he thought on the latest draft right here!!!
