RZA from Wu-Tang To Direct Martial Arts Flick
By George 'El Guapo' Roush on July 7, 2008

That sexy dragon slayer Devin over at CHUD e-mailed Eli Roth concerning an article he read about RZA writing and directing a martial arts movie called The Man With The Iron Fist. The movie is supposed to be made with the help of Eli and under the tutelage of Quentin Tarantino.
Here's one sentence from what is perhaps the most publicity readied paragraph I've ever read in an informal e-mail:
"This movie will have everything martial arts fans could want, combined with RZA's superb musical talent."I guarantee that the paragraph will be copy and pasted again in the future when the movie is closer to production. I would put in another sentence, but CHUD uses a yellow font on black background and I'm too lazy to change the font color back to black.
I'm always excited to hear about any upcoming martial arts movies, especially ones by hip hop artists. Ok, I was lying in that last sentence. But who knows? Maybe it could be good. I think I'd have a bit more confidence if he studied under maybe...oh, I don't know...Jackie Chan instead of Quentin Tarantino when it comes to martial arts stuff. Just because Quentin made one (splitting it into two volumes doesn't count as making two movies) doesn't make him the expert on them, but he's a great director so RZA is at least learning from a pro.
