Some Terminator Salvation Rumors Get Cleared Up
By George 'El Guapo' Roush on November 20, 2008
Total Film got the scoop on some of the more pressing rumors concerning the Terminator production.

Questions that have been answered include Ain't It Cools posting of the ending the movie, James Cameron giving McG his blessing, (seriously, who gives a shit. I know I've had to report on this before, but it's dumb. James Cameron isn't the Pope, even though he'd like us to think otherwise.) Bale hesistant about being signed on, and if Arnold is actually in the movie.

Here's one of those rumors that's been floating around concerning an Arnie appearance:

Well, we’d bet our Terminator 2 action figure collection that we know the real reason. He was there to get motion captured for his all CGI debut as the T800.

“We’re trying to synthesise a human character with a CGI character and that may or may not have something to do with the T800,” McG told us with a smile.

The process isn’t without its problems, though. McG isn’t happy with ILM’s work so far... “At the moment it’s not good enough,” he said. “And we’re running out of time.”

Proff that McG is smoking illegal material. If he wants perfection-hire the guys who do the crappy cgi on those grade C Scifi Channel movies. I gotta a feeling this is going to either be real cool or kill the Terminator franchise faster than the SCC.
How is McG to question ILM?

How does this hack have the audacity to insinuate that ILM's work isn't good enough? I can't recall any movie where ILM didn't hold their part of the bargin. By giving us spectacular effects time after time. Their most notable work they've done lately has been flawless. Transformers, Ironman, Hulk. McG is damn lucky that lighting struck and he even has the opportunnity to work with ILM.

I mean part 3 sucked ass hard!!!! the scene in the end with the control center/shelter with the string attached to the small ship chasing down the hall the crappy actor playing Ed Furlongs character was laughable! The chick was hot but, overall the worst in the series!!! This is a franchise (I THINK) that wouldn't have such a feverish fanbase due to movies being so far apart........
do you work 4 ILM?

I'm sorry, but I can't think of anything extrodinary that McG has done. ILM on the other hand has made a myriad of quantam leaps whens it comes to special effects.
