UPDATED! The new domestic trailer for "Terminator Salvation" has officially hit the net! The film stars Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin and Bryce Dallas Howard.
The film directed by McG is due out next year on May 22nd.
In the highly anticipated new installment of "The Terminator" film franchise, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.

This is what the 3rd film should have been. Taking us to the future after the bombs hit, and with the war against the machines ala flashbacks we get in the 1st one..
Now we get yet another director(The Charlies Angels guy!)
Story seems to be right.. lets hope the vision is there as well...
some of the scenes look like those Australian mad max rip-offs from the 80's or Cherry 2000.. LETS HOPE NOT....BALE alone cant carry this thing.....

Hhhmmm, i liked the teaser trailer better, there's no real stand out momment for me. I think Bale alone brings some much needed credibilty to the franchise, i agree with 420band, this should have been the 3rd film, although there were some cool aspects to the 3rd, it was basically a retread of T2 and it had become too self-aware, with too many knowing winks. From what i have seen and heard it seems this one will be a more serious in tone & in keeping with T1.
Am i the only person that noticed that they didn't destroy the arm that Arnie loses in his final fight with the T-1000????...Wouldn't that have made for a much better explanation for the machines existance, than, 'it's inevitable' ....

I like this trailer i kinda want to see what the big machine can do, seems to be alot of action. like transformers but not for kids. i think this could be better than 3 and 1 but only time will tell if it can take down 2

I really hope they show the rebels 'reprogramming' the T-800 to go back... Perhaps that's what we saw when he was talking to the Terminator in this clip...?

Don't know if anybody noticed at the end of the clip, the giant robot. It kinda looks like the mechs the humans used to defend the docks in the Matrix. If they make this new Terminator into another Trilogy, and they end it with the humans darkening the skies, I think I will scream.

The character portrayed by Sam Worthington is indeed a Terminator but the question that I ask myself now is. Will that horrible rumor that John dies in the end and Sam's character rips his flesh off and covers his exoskeleton with johns body so that John Conner remains as the leader of the resistance. If that is so Hollywood has managed once again to completely destroy a franchise that i hold very cosely to my heart. Damn those fucking suits and so called Executive producers.
