The Wait Is Over The New Star Trek Trailer Hits!

If you haven't seen it yet, the trailer for Star Trek has been leaked onto that gosh darned thing called "the internet". Fans clamoring to get a feel for this movie will at least have some questions answered, while even more questions pop into their heads.
Like, "Are there giant cliffs in Iowa?", "Why would a young Kirk drive towards said cliff in a classic corvette?" and, "I thought the Enterprise was built in San Francisco?"
The High-Definition trailer has officially been released via Apple, take a peek and see what all the hoopla is about. It doesn't look that bad, but trailers can be deceiving. I'm worried this will be Starship Troopers meets The Real World.

looks really awesome, kirk in the yeelow uniform is for me the young kirk. Nero think will suck, but there will be an awesome background stroy with this time spock travel thing.

this trailer was the same one attached with quantum of solace movie. not a star trek guy but im sure going to watch this one.

Still not sold on J.J. being the next "Big Thing" he reminds me of that other director that we like to bash!!!!!!!

I Think the "TREKIES" would like to see a brokeback star trek story line... and just watch the doc,Kirk,and Spock blowing each other for 2 hours.......
and they still complain....

im not much of a trek fan..I felt that the movies with old farts saving the world time and time again was too cheesy....plus the damn trek films never went away...like the star wars films nowadays. At least this film looks more entertaining and exciting

Story and dialogue sounds weak, and the visual effects are going to give some Trekkers a CGI-gasm. For me, I'll wait for the reviews. Cheers.

The CGI looks stunning however the cast looks very young but also agree older Star Trek movies looked like a bunch of middle aged farts saving the galaxy, I guess there is a balance for some viewers. From the trailer it looks like it is going to be on the very cheesy showboat side of Hollywood should have made it more gritty and dark than the Technicolor Disney genre….. Epic fail IMO

The new Star Trek is an abomination to everything Gene Roddenbury and true Trekies stood for...nothing more than Starship Troopers in Star Fleet uniforms. Paramount sold out. For the sake of te franchise I hope it fails

In order to stay relevant and reach new fans and to reach into the hearts of the kids of the future change is inevitable! Lets not prejudge it! It might be the right change for the times! I for one like the fact that they are still making movies about Star Trek.
