The fourth installment in the Underworld series -- whose quality you readers seem to be divided over -- now has a writer and it's none other than John Hlavin from The Shield.
With no one yet signed to direct, and neither Kate Beckinsale or Rhona Mitra (from the third film) attached to star, everything about this project seems to be up in the air. The only things we can confirm so far, is that Len Wiseman, who directed the first two films, will produce, and that the movie is not a prequel.
Said, Hlavin,"It will satisfy old fans and excite new audiences, meaning that we don't want to redo the first three movies, so steps are being taken to honor what fans have loved but at the same time introduce fresh elements."
Judging by this statement, it seems like the fourth movie will launch a whole new group of characters and storyline. Is that something you Underworld fans -- and non-fans -- would be interested in seeing?
