**UPDATE** Does Resident Evil Have An Afterlife? It's Possible.

Homie Ryan Rotten over at Shock Till You Drop is reporting on the possibility of another Resident Evil film hitting theatrers in 2010.
STYD has more: In spite of what any of the talent involved in Resident Evil: Extinction told us during the press tour (mostly, "this is the final chapter"), the film left the door wide - and we mean WIDE open - for a fourth installment.
Well, we've just learned from a studio insider that Sony is looking to get Resident Evil: Afterlife into theaters by September 17, 2010.
STYD states the release date has been confirmed by Sony.
Personally I like the Resident Evil movies, so I'm kind of looking forward to a fourth. And Ryan is usually pretty dead on with his horror scoops. Stay tuned for more.

Milla confirmed her involvement to the paparazzi about starring in the fourth film around the 1:20 mark. You can see the video below.
