Movies has released the new trailer for Bryan Singer's upcoming historical thriller "Valkyrie" starring Tom Cruise, Kenneth Branagh, and Bill Nighy. The film is due out on December 26th, 2008. Superstar Tom Cruise heads an international cast as Col. Claus von Stauffenberg, the aristocratic German officer who led the heroic attempt to bring down the Nazi regime and end the war by planting a bomb in Hitler's bunker. The "July 20 Plot" on Hitler's life is one of the most heroic but least known episodes of World War Two. Severely wounded in combat, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg returns from Africa to join the German Resistance and help create Operation Valkyrie, the complex plan that will allow a shadow government to replace Hitler's once he is dead. But fate and circumstance conspire to thrust Stauffenberg from one of many in the plot to a double-edged central role. Not only must he lead the coup and seize control of his nation's government... Everyone knows that all the real Nazi’s during World War II were English speaking individuals with German accents, not English speaking individuals with American accents. The SS would have assuredly killed anyone that didn’t speak their English with a German accent. I suppose it could have also worked if they had sounded British or Australian (which sounds British to most Americans). This story and cast alone are enough to overshadow accents and dialect and if u base a criticism of the movie on that your missing the big picture of a great cast and director and screenplay, wheres your complaint on that all you haters. I agree: if you judge a film poorly because of the accents used, then you don't have validity to judge a FILM, which is made up of a lot more than the accents employed. From this and the previous trailer I hear that everyone sounds different. That's fine! As long as the words are good, i don't care if they're in brail! Look the two biggest elements in making a successful movie are sharks and Hitler. If you want a big payday put either sharks or Hitler in a movie and it's a cash cow. Although this movie will make a ton of dough it will be nothing compared to the december 2009 release of "Hitler: Master of the Great White" where Hitler leads an army of great white sharks against an army of gorilla's off the South African coastline.
