Video Interview: Cuba Gooding Jr. On Daddy Day Camp
By Steve Chupnick on August 07, 2007

First they tackled the day care world, now Charlie Hinton and Phil Ryerson are taking on the outdoor world of camp. Cuba Gooding Jr. stars as Charlie in the new family comedy, Daddy Day Camp.

When Charlie and Phil’s kids decide to go to camp, there’s only one place they want them to go – their childhood hub, Camp Driftwood. Unfortunately, it’s been rundown and about to be taken over by a newer and bigger sports camp.

So, the two entrepreneurs decide to buy the property and run the place themselves. Of course, things do not go according to plan – and Cuba must call on the help of his father to save the camp from being sold.

Bus crashes, skunk spewing, kids puking and toilet explosions – all part of a day’s work in Daddy Day Camp.

LatinoReview sat down with Cuba to talk about working on the movie, working with director Fred Savage and his next project, American Gangsters with Denzel Washington.

Check out the exclusive video interview above.
