I have to admit, I was warned at Sundance not to miss this movie, but I did anyway. There was just too much too cover and this was one film I'm sorry I missed. But I'm still glad I had a chance to see it. It's a funny comedy about two brothers competing in life and in the sport of soccer.
I had a chance to speak with director Carlos Cuarón about making the movie, casting Diego and Gael, working with Guillermo del Toro, soccer research and more.
I also spoke with the two stars, who are as close to being brothers in real life as two guys could be. We talked about the funny music video in the film, their take on their characters, and if they'd ever buy a girl a Hummer like they did in the film.
I decided to ask all of them if they saw the characters as losers, and they all had the same answer which makes me think they're in cahoots! There was also a funny part from Carlos, but that isn't in the interview. Rats! I'm firing our editor!
