Wanted 2 in the works?
By Edgar 'El Toro' Arce on June 19, 2008

Terence Stamp was talking recently to
MTV Movie Blogs about his role in the soon to be released Angelina Jolie flick,
Wanted. He mentions some of the perks, like being able to see Jolie every morning at 7am, although not the way you and I are thinking.
General Zod (sorry, I just had to say it once) says that he enjoyed working on the flick and that his character gets to see more action.
“I play a character who’s called Pekwarsky, He’s an enigmatic character who doesn’t feature a lot in the first one, but it’s something that’s written for a sequel.”
This makes sense because a year ago, the writers for Wanted, Derek Haas and Michael Brandt, were doing an interview with
Pajiba.com, where they inadvertently spoke about writing a sequel to the film.
“We’ve been hired to write the sequel to Wanted by the same studio. We tried to keep the script grounded”
Wanted definitely has a matrix look and feel to it, judging by the trailers that have been released, so there’s a reason when the writers say they tried to keep it grounded.
“After the second issue, the comic book left the real world and went into a world where super-villains had rid the world of superheroes. It was sort of a mafia story told against that backdrop. So we kept that tone and dynamic, but kept it mostly in the real world, though we do play with things like physics, so it is still a heightened world. It’s something you’ll see from the first trailer; it’s harder to explain here in print.”
Well, needless to say the movie isn’t even out yet, but looks like the studios are assuming more will be WANTED. Hey, let me throw my hat into the ring of sequel names with a few ideas of my own:
Want more?
Wanted: Again
Give me more (ok, maybe not that one)
Wants and Needs!
Ok folks, your turn! Give me some titles for the apparent sequel in the works.
