Wonder-Con! IRON MAN!!!!!

Alright guys, this is the big one for Wonder-Con and comic book fans waiting to see what, if any, new Iron Man footage will be shown. Here's the blow by blow! I apologize if stuff is out of order because I'm updating as it happens.

This Thursday will be a 90 second new trailer for Iron Man in front of Lost.

IRON MONGER IS IN THE MOVIE!!! I don't know if he's going to be called Iron Monger (that's the name I remember from the comic storyline, I originally said War Monger. My bad.), but they showed us a new 2 minute trailer of Iron Man fighting another guy in his giant suit of armor who is probably Obediah Stane played by Jeff Bridges. It looked so incredible. Iron Monger was shooting bullets from what looked like a machine gun attached to his robotic arm and Iron Man was blocking the bullets. He was fighting War Monger in his Mark III suit, the gold and red one.

I'm sitting next to Favreau's son who now won't talk to me because I told him I saw his Iron Man drawing his father posted on his MySpace page. I think I embarrassed him because he started blushing. lol

Whoa. They just showed three extended scenes from the movie. The first scene was Tony putting together the flight boots. The next point of view is from a robotic camera recording Robert trying out the boots for the first time. He sets the thrust at 10% and in what was a really funny scene, he accidentally launches himself backwards into a ceiling overhang and falls to the ground. Another robotic arms sprays him thinking he's on fire.

The next scene is him trying out the boots with the gloves as well. He tells the robotic arm that if it sprays him again while he's not on fire, he's going to donate it to a local college.

He brings it down to 1% thrust, then 2.5% and flies around the room. He accidentally flies over his cars frying the hoods of them which was funny.

The next scene is the BEST. A full 360 degree camera shot of Tony in the Mark II silver suit with Jarvis communicating to Tony that more tests need to be run before he goes out for the first time on a test flight. Tony says "Jarvis, sometimes you have to run before you can walk." and he takes off into the sky. The suit looks absolutely incredible. And in the trailer they showed us later, one of the boots fails and Tony ends up crashing back in his lab on top of one of his cars. The robot arm that sprayed Tony earlier? Does it again. It got big laughs from the audience.

Jon says he leaves the door open about James Rhodes' role in the movie. So is there an appearance of Rhodes as War Machine? He doesn't say. He did say he would like to direct the Avengers movie.

Jon and Vince Vaughn are in a new movie called Four Christmases where Jon plays a cage wrestler. Robert Duvall plays the father.

He says there are new sets of armor because the studio loves merchandising. Is that shown in the movie? He said in the future Iron Man movies new sets of armor can be used for Iron Man for specific situations.

Ok, he just mentioned a War Machine set of armor so I doubt if we'll see anything in this one. Probably for a sequel.

He said many of the rumors about characters from the Hulk and Iron Man appearing in each other's movies are true. But some are not true. He said he doesn't want to give a solid answer because he doesn't want to give too much away.

The more of this movie that is shown, the more excited I am about it. This really looks like it's going to be a kick ass film.
