Wonder-Con! Wanted footage!

Ok, I'm at the press conference for Wanted at Wonder-Con and they showed a really long action clip from the film. In this clip, Angelina Jolie is in a supermarket with James McAvoy. Angelina uses a gun that can shoot around corners (which I hear the military actually has developed as a real weapon) and she shoots the shit out of the supermarket trying to kill this one bad guy who just can't seem to be hit.

James runs out of the supermarket and the bad guy grabs a cat food truck, kind of like a UPS truck in design, and chases James down in the parking lot. Out of nowhere, Angelina comes racing towards James in a red Viper, does a 360 while opening the passenger side door and sort of snatches James into the car without missing a beat.

The next chase scene is kind of like a Terminator chase scene where the bad guy, even in a slow ass cat food truck, somehow manages to keep up with a Dodge Viper that magically has the physics of a car that doesn't have rear wheel drive and the torque of the space shuttle which a Viper has. Angelina driving this car, speeds thru traffic, dodging cars at high speeds while trying to avoid being shot by the bad guy who is managing to keep up. I'm not sure if this is taking place is some sort of 'Physics don't apply' world because that Viper would have crashed a long time ago with the way it was being driven on wet pavement.

Next Angelina smashes out her front windshield, turns her body around and sticks her torso out the front of the car and starts shooting at the truck. She has one foot on the steering wheel and James is helping to steer from the passenger's seat. It's kind of a way over the top ridiculous scene with both of them steering the car. Angelina has one shoe on the steering wheel while her body is pretty much draped on the hood of the car.

She jumps back in the driver's seat when they begin barreling towards a police barracade. She drifts the car sideways, its tires hit a crack in the pavement and it slowly goes flipping over the police cars landing on and knocking over a bus that was behind the barricade. The bus drops on its side and the Viper then drives off the side of the bus.

Crazy? Yes. Really over the top crazy as far as action goes. But maybe it's supposed to be that way for the entire movie? Who knows. A Q&A with James McAvoy is going on right now and will be posted soon.
