I'm madly excited for I Love You Phillip Morris - if you missed my piece here yesterday just click the link to listen to me ramble about gay Jim Carrey. Now today comes more casting news! What is that news? Xerxes is playing Jim Carrey's lover! You know - the nine foot tall guy/girl Persian dude in 300! His real name is Rodrigo Santoro and it is good to see him doing more acting. Why? Because he bedazzled me in 300. Everyone did...I just loved that movie. THIS IS SPARTA! Sorry...off on small tangent there. In case you didn't know the flick is about Steve Russell(Carrey) married to a chick (Leslie Mann) and is sent to prison only to fall in love with his cellmate Phillip Morris (Ewan McGregor). When Morris is released, Russell escapes from prison four times to be with Morris. Did I mention this is a TRUE story? Did I mention that Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, the writers of Bad Santa, are writing and directing? Did I mention that I'm finally excited for a Jim Carrey movie again? IN YOUR FACE TRUMAN SHOW!
