Yet Another French Avatar Poster

Yet Another French Avatar Poster The countdown to James Cameron's Avatar continues and the only things we have to pass the time until the world's [Select one] (best/worst) movie hits the theaters are new movie posters.

The latest poster comes to us from France where "By the director of Titanic" is written as "Par le realissateur de Titanic." That's not that surprising considering the habit the French have of, well, speaking French.

What is a little surprising though, is the decision not to mention the name of lead actress Zoe Saldana on this poster. Considering that the Na'vi pictured is none other than her character, Neytiri, it's kind of weird that they decided to mention Michelle Rodriguez in her place. As much as I love Rodriguez -- and I do! -- what's the sense of replacing the name of Saldana (who just had a hit as Uhura in Star Trek) with Rodriguez?

Or, if anything, they could have just placed all three actresses' names together and left Sam Worthington's name for -- what I'm sure will be released next week -- the poster with just his character's face.
