Your First Look At The New Star Trek Enterprise Ship.

Fans of the upcoming Star Trek movie have been wondering for months what J.J.'s version of the Enterprise will look like. Forum board battles, Klingon camp conspiracy theories and Picard vs. Kirk fist fights at local convention centers have been raging for months over what this damn ship is supposed to look like. And you know what? It looks like the Enterprise. What a shock.

Here's a bit from the EW article, then we'll take a look at the ship.

Abrams wanted to take the original TV series Enterprise and the movie franchise Enterprise and fuse them together into a new yet familiar Enterprise. His ambition was a ship that felt very realistic, that could "stand up" to today's f/x standards—and beyond. "If you're going to do Star Trek there are many things you cannot change. The Enterprise is a visual touchstone for so many people. So if you're going to do the Enterprise, it better look like the Enterprise, because otherwise, what are you doing?"

Andy Probert's design for the Motion Picture Enterprise was the best. The Abrams one looks like it has two gray grasshoppers for engine nacelles. Ugly.

The profile of Capt. kirk looks like Paul Giamatti in that video.... On to the enterprise... The first picture looked the best.. Who care's anyway! Simon Peg is the only reason I'll revisit this again.. That and the dude from Harold and Kumar.. Is the chinese guy (SULO?) gay in this as well ?

420band you're right, and Spock looks like Kevin Smith. Anyway, I guess it looks pretty cool. Never been a fan of Star Trek so I'm not sure what else to say.

He should've stuck with the original ship. The new one looks bad. The design seems to cluttered. Klingnon's women have more VD's than french nationals. Watch out spock, you're no 007 when it comes to avoiding 00 life expectancy.
